FAQ (coming soon)Animation related websites.Contests.Collaborations.Related subreddits. Hi guys, i have a quick question i hope i can get some real input into. I have been searching this topic for over a month now and am about to make a purchase.
Nike motto font download. All the videos, and all the reviews/blogs i have read that cover this question leave me more unsettled than before i read them.I am an artist in the sense that i am always sketching and drawing. I have only recently began to explore animating my drawings. I have been playing around with Harmony 10.3 for a few weeks now, and while learning it i have came across a bunch of videos about anime studio pro that make anime studio look 1000% more user friendly than harmony. The end goal here is to produce very professional top quality animations using the easiest platform possible to animate with, without sacrificing the end product. The big thing that catches me is that Anime Studio Pro is 90% cheaper than a perpetual license for harmony 12.
Also Toon Boom has a very impressive list of clients that include professional animation studios. I cannot seem to find any 'client list' for anime studio pro.If i cannot get a simple answer or if there is no simple answer, would one of you professionals who has worked with both programs mind some P.M.'
S & questions to help me narrow down on my choice. I want to get it purchased before Dec. I'm a professional animator who's been using Anime Studio Pro since '04. I've had clients such as: HBO, Sony, Fox, Universal, etc. Here's my reel. Goo.gl/xPZ356I've been struggling with Toon Boom lately.
I really, really wanted to like it, but the rigging/deformation tools don't really do it for me. Plus I like the latitude of animating vertices that ASP offers. This helps alleviate that rigid cut-out look. Another thing not critical for me - drawing in Toon Boom. I do all my 'drawing' in Illustrator and import them into ASP.My 2-cents. Harmony is a powerful tool, which means it has a steep learning curve. And It can be used any number of ways to achieve different visual styles.
Hand-drawn, puppet, etc. That's the simple reality. Anime studio is not in the same league as Harmony, no matter what their advertising might say.
That's why it's cheaper. It might be competent in some areas and I'm sure a good artist can make it work, but harmony is so far ahead.I'm hugely biased as I use harmony every day. But no software is perfect and harmony has its flaws as well. You have to decide what you need and decide yourself. I played around with both with the goal of making some game character sprites. (Note- I'm a hobbyist, not a professional). Anime Studio was definitely easier to pick up, and more fun to play with.
The smart bone system was just as slick as the youtube videos made it appear. All that being said, I can see why professional studios use Harmony instead. It just overall felt like more professional software, with an insane number of tools and features.
Really good vector drawing too, comparable to a raster program.Out of the two, I definitely made more progress using Anime Studio. But I can't really comment on long-term use, as I spent about a month between the two programs before dropping the idea of 2D as a whole in order to switch to Blender and 3D.Just my experience, hope that helps somewhat.
